Can Confidence
"The Can, CAN!"

The can, the silver bullet, the 2.5gal water extinguisher. Whatever you call it, we've all got it. But rarely do we utilize this tool to its true potential. In this course we will master the wonderful world of the 2.5gal water can under live fire conditions. You will leave with a new appreciation for this mainstay of the American fire service.

Truckin' Off The Box

Fire based EMS is more and more common in modern America. As run loads increase and resources are stretched thinner every passing year, your firefighters are in a race against time. When the lives of your citizens hang in the balance and the first due engine is still 5 minutes out, your firefighters need to be prepared to save lives in the worst of circumstances. In this class students will learn to do more, with less, maximizing the limited firefighting resources found on many of today's medic units. This class will equip your firefighters to excel for your citizens

SKILLS DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS

Nozzleman Boot Camp

Hoseline deployment. The fundamental core skill of the fire service, however often overlooked and neglected on the drill ground. Our comprehensive Nozzlemans Boot Camp is designed to master a variety of hoseloads and their deployments as well as flowing and advancing charged hoselines for low / under staffed companies. We will dig deep into hoseloads and stretches, hose handling techniques, hose construction, smoothbore vs fog nozzle, low pressure vs high pressure hose, as well as small and medium diameter attack hoses.

Rural Water Supply Operations

The meat and potatoes of the rural fireground is water supply. We all carry hard suction, strainers, and drop tanks but in depth training for large water scenarios is often an after thought. Prepare your team for large fire incidents before the tones sound and arrive ready for the fight!

Pump Operations For The FAO

Veteran firefighters know that the FAO/DO role is far more than just driving the truck. Complex fire incidents call for knowledgeable apparatus operators. Are you prepared for incidents like primer failure,  advanced operations like relay pumping, or how to maximizing your rig's pump potential to supply an aerial and multiple hand lines. This in depth course is designed to take you from driver to engineer and prepare you to operate in the most important position on the modern firegrounds of 2024 and beyond.

Search & Rescue Fundamentals

Life over property, victim rescue is the mission above all else. We must be searching every fire, every time, our citizens are counting on us to do this thoroughly and proficiently for THEM.
This course covers targeted, oriented, and wide area searches, as well as VEIS techniques. When time is of the essence, we must be searching at the top of our game. Training creates experience, experience creates judgement. Lets prepare our firefighters for success and our citizens for survival. If we continue to tell them we will come for them, we must be training to execute on that promise.

Vertical Ventilation & Sawmans' Academy

Our Vertical Ventilation & Sawman's Academy was created to prepare low staffed departments to tackle vertical ventilation tasks on the fireground. From ground ladders to the aerial, vent saws to K12s, this class covers the use of saws as well as their operation and maintenance.

Firefighter Survival

As important as RIT and RIC assignments and training are, we all know that the data from the fireground says it is the firefighter calling the mayday or adjacent companies who typically effect the rescue. As such our Firefighter Survival program hits hard on the basics to develop muscle memory and remove old training scars and create new, good habits that will rise to the top under duress, keeping your firefighters safer.

Modern Vehicle Extrication

MVCs are more common than ever, no district is immune from this incident type. With new hazards like EV and Alternative Fuels, new metals like high strength boron steel, and new technology like autonomous self-driving responders now, need more than ever to be prepared for the variety of makes and models on the roadway today. Our modern vehicle extrication program will create confidence among your firefighters when responding to these type of incidents.

All Irons Forcible Entry

The favorite of every firefighter, Forcible Entry. Our conventional all irons Forcible Entry program digs deep to master the basics and provides students the opportunity for dozens of reps on inward and outward, lefthand and righthand doors. Each student leaves the program highly proficient in 1 and 2 man traditional forcible entry techniques and ready to tackle the fireground. We proudly feature Side Charlie Custom Fire Tools premium halligan bars, and Fire Maul Tools premium axes and mauls in our forcible entry training. We also are proud to exclusively use Woods Forcible Entry Doors for our training, we believe these doors offer the most realistic forcible entry training experience possible.
